Viet Nam M&A Forum
In the period 2008-2013, the first M&A wave was arised, and well perceived by companies, firms both local and international. The first wave was occurred when the Vietnam’s stock market fluctuated wildly, Vietnamese companies especially the local banks were in the restructuring process to overcome the crisis. In the period, Vietnam M&A inflow had increased from US$1 Billion to US$5 Billion in 5 years. It created opportunities for investment companies, or diversified companies with aim of expanding their businesses.
What would be coming in the next 5 years (2014-2018)? The commitment to capitalize the state companies and corporations, the rising of private sectors, the interest of foreign investment toward Vietnam market through M&A would contribute to create the second wave of M&A.
How to optimize the opportunities in this second M&A wave? What opportunities would be posed in this period? What are noticeable differences in the strategic M&A between this new wave and the first wave? All the issues and solutions would be presented and discussed in Vietnam M&A Forum 2014 – opening for the new M&A wave in Vietnam.
Vietnam M&A Forum 2014 would have session to evaluate the M&A trend in hot sectors like banking and finance, FMCG, high technology, and E-commerce. Besides that, issues regarding the M&A strategies and technical skills would also be shared and discussed in this Forum.
Within the Forum, there are 5 main activities would be held: Conference (August 7, 2014), MAF Expo, Vietnam M&A Awards, M&A market report and Gala Dinner.
We, as the organizing committee of the Forum, Vietnam Investment Review and AVM Vietnam are honored to express our gratitude toward Ministry of Planning and Investment, organizations, companies, experts local and international who have support the Forum in the 5 years, also this 2014 Forum.
